In October, Roundo completed one of the most exclusive projects in the machine industry, namely the renewal of the Flanging machine model SF-2. Successfully, the new SF-2 attracted a lot of visitors at the Euroblech exhibition and we recieved many inquiries for it!
One of the multiple improvements that has been applied to the redesigned model, is the automatic working cycle for the flanging operation and punching on the machine. This new system forms the flange, releases the forming rolls and tilts the outboard support back to horizontal position. This moves automatically the punching unit forward until it touches the cylinder and moves backwards until it locks into the first hole in the indexing plate. Finally, the powered rotation of the expander starts and the punching of all the holes becomes done.
The intention with the redesign of the machine is to make it more cost efficient and to be able to offer the customer a higher degree of automation.
Stay tuned for an upcoming video of the premier running of the machine!
